1. Acupressure
Is an ancient healing art that uses the fingers to press key points on the surface of the skin to stimulate the body's natural self-curative abilities. When these points are pressed, they release muscular tension and promote the circulation of blood and the body's life force to aid healing.
2. Jin Shin Jyutsu
Is based on the premise that our bodies contain energy pathways feeding life into all cells. When one or more of these paths become blocked, this leads to discomfort and pain. A method using gentle, direct pressure of the hands and fingers on points of these energy pathways (mirroring acupuncture points) to release stress and tension, reduce pain and discomfort, increase self-awareness, and re-establish energy balance in the body and mind. Jin is knowing compassion, Shin is creator and Jyutsu is art: creator's art through being compassionate.
3. Qi Gong (also spelled ChiGong or ChiKung)
Is a Chinese system of self-cultivation which dates back over 4000 years. Qi Gong practitioners created such treasures of Chinese civilization as acupuncture, Chinese traditional medicine, Kung-Fu, Tai Chi Chu'an, the I Ching, and the Tao Teh Ching. In general, it is a personal practice which integrates movement, meditation, breath regulation, and visualization to stimulate the flow of Qi, or vital life energy, along the body's meridians. Qi Gong promotes optimum health of the whole person physically, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually. It is an excellent tool for stress management and a safe modified fitness exercise for cardiovascular vascular, neuromuscular, arthritic and other common immune disorders.

4. Moxibustion (or Moxa)
Is named after the Japanese word Mokusa, meaning "burning herb". It is an important therapy in traditional Chinese medicine; the ancient text advise that Moxa should be tried if acupuncture and herbs have failed to heal the disease. Moxa is prepared from mugwort, a common perennial herb. The aromatic leaves are dried and repeatedly sifted until fluffy. The cigar shaped Moxa stick is lighted and held about an inch away from the desired area-an acupuncture point or other area of the body. Some indications for its use in Chinese medicine are to treat general weakness, anemia, indigestion, nausea, chronic fatigue, shock, allergies and asthma. Modern research has confirmed that the immune system is stimulated when the point receives Moxa.
5. Mind-Body Medicine
Is an approach to healing which propones that the mind (thoughts and beliefs) is closely connected with the physical body and its healing. This is truly a holistic practise, utilizing many different therapies such as yoga, relaxation, mediation, guided imagery and psychotherapy. Mind-body medicine studies psycho-social influences on the physical well being and is supported by current finding from studies on heart disease, cancer and immune system disorders. When practised, emphasis is placed on the meaning of a particular illness, and the communicative, healing relationship between the doctor and patient.
6. Herbal Medicine
Is an ancient way of healing found in cultures throughout the world utilizing plants and their derivatives as preventative and curative medicine. It is believed that medicinal and nutritional supplements synthesized from separate and isolated elements create a physical dependency in the body by reducing its ability to extract these elements from whole foods. Whole herbs, retain the subtler ingredients necessary to balance the active elements, thus transporting a balanced substance into the body that catalyze healing more effectively.
7. Naturopathic Medicine
It is a holistic remedy-a blend of modern medicinal science and traditional wisdom. Fully trained in conventional diagnostic technique and treatment, the naturopathic physician also uses healing and preventative options, such as herbal medicines, vitamins, minerals, and natural substances which avoid side effects which all to often come from heavily advertised pills. Combined with counseling, physiotherapy, and firmly founded in scientific research, naturopathy is truly progressive medicine
8. Meditation
Can be a state of focused or mindful attention which may include the use of a sitting posture, imagery, mantras, observation and control of the breath, and/or allowing thoughts to emerge and pass without becoming engaged with them. The deep relaxation of mediation may heal the body, quiet the mind and provide a sense of inner balance. Spirituality, meditation is sometimes practised to attain higher levels of consciousness and the realization of the transcendent within each of us or practised to still the mind and allow greater clarity and awareness to emerge.
