Lyn became a Ph. D in Martial Sciences and Sports Medicine in 1999, and was inducted into the World Sports Medicine Hall of Fame as their Man of the Year for outstanding contributions to the field of Sports Medicine. He is now an international Sports Medicine Association-Certified Instructor. A 10th Degree Black Sash, he is a 22nd generation living master of Ling Gar Kung Fu, and one of the youngest men to be inducted into the World Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the World Wide Martial Arts Hall of Fame, the Martial Arts Masters, Pioneers, Legends Hall of Fame.

He also received a lifetime achievement award from the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame awards. To top it off, he also is a four-time international kickboxing champion and the co-star of more than 25 Hong Kong films, including Yuen Woo Ping's "Tiger Cage" and Jackie Chan's "Operation Condor".
